Some of our past Events:

EARTH DAY   APRIL 22, 2006

These events are still listed on our site because they were special days for the Cat Rescue.  We only have a few people helping with the rescue at this time, so events like these are not as numerous.  12/10/2010

Earth Day  April 22,2006 .

Heartand Cat Rescue & Adoption
Society members enjoyed another
beautiful Florida day.  We  participated
in the community yard sale and sold
many items and met a lot of  wonderful
folks. Many cat care questions were
asked and answered . Spay and Neuter
literature was also given out and discussed.
Heartland Cat Rescue appreciates the
generous donations that were recieved.
All donations and proceeds from that
days sale went toward the medical care
and maintenance of the rescue cats and kittens.
Thank You Highlands Hammock State Park
Rangers for their friendly  assistance . We
look forward to next year's event!

Questions on Cat care being answered
dscf0002.jpg

On November 5,2005 we participated in the 20th annual Civilian Conservation Corps Festival as an exibit and vendor.  It was a beautiful fall Florida day, with plenty of sunshine.  We set up an information booth to promote the importance of Spaying and Neutering your pet(s), statistics, cat care, Florida laws pertaining to animal abuse, being a foster parent, adoption and other tips.   Many public service pamphlets were handed out and a lot of questions were asked and answered.
We also brought with us 4 adorable potential adoptees.  The kitties received a lot of attention, with plenty of hugs and kisses to go around!  They sure were tuckered out at the end of the day - as were we!
We met a lot of wonderful folks that day and hopefully were able to answer many questions.  A big Thank You to Park Services Specialist Dorothy Harris and all Park Rangers for their help and making the day enjoyable.

We have no events scheduled at this time.  Will post news when we do.  12/10/2010
